    Default Large Spotted Genet

These guys are notoriously difficult to photograph at night, however, I got quite
lucky this time when he paused for a second and turned to face us.
It was all down to our guide, Patrick who is a master of various animal calls.
On this occasion it was a "Hyena" that got his attention ;).

The pose is really good and I like the S surve in the body. Genets are one of my favorite animals in Africa!

I would try to selectively sharpen the eyes and nose to improve the image. Its a shame the OOF focus blades of grass made it into the frame. Also cropping come off the bottom would really help the comp, the OOF dark area isnt doing anything for the image.

In Kenya i stayed at a tent camp and they had a habituated Genet that would sneak around your legs at dinner hoping to get scraps my girlfriend managed to get some decent images with a canon P&S. They are actually quite big when you see them up close..

Great capture of a tough one. I've seen a couple on night drives but never got an image. The OOF grass is distracting and could be removed...
