    Default Camera Strap Question

Okay, this is going to seem like a weird question but I gotta ask...

With the heat of summer and the profuse amount of sweating I have been doing out in the field, I was curious as to whether anyone ever takes their camera strap off and washes it. If so, how often do you wash it and with what? I was worried about breaking down the strap material with chemical soaps but I have to think that it can't be worse than all the sweat this poor thing is being exposed to.

    Any thoughts or advice?

(P.S. I use the wide neoprene-type strap that came with my Canon 40D.)

Can't say I do but use the UPstrap, (http://www.upstrap-pro.com/) the shoulder piece is made of rubber material so really does not get ground in dirt.

    Hi Julie,
I wash my straps once every two years or so, with luke warm water and ivory liquid soap. :)
