    Hi All
It has been a while since I posted. Hot weather and time in the nesting routine has sent birds to cover, and I've been doing some studying/reading and applying what I'm learning. This is an Oxeye Daisy, an invasive species in BC I'm afraid. The image turned out rather vivid. What do you think?
    Comments and suggestions much appreciated.

    Thanks for looking

    Hi Gail,
I like your image. Lets go bold and fly high... Why don't you crop 1/4 from the bottom and just a tad more than 1/4 from the top and convert this into a pano...:D This will stand out with the rich vibrant colors of your diagonals in the background; which by the way works very well... Your whites are a wee bit on the hot side, but its not too bad...

Thanks Gus, what a great idea. I composed this image to be a "flat" view, but didn't take the step to pano. I probably could take a bit more off the bottom?
    Thanks

Lovely image Gail. I especially like the colorful BG, it adds a nice feel to the daisy.

Thanks for the comments. Now if I can figure how that bg came about, maybe I'll be able to do it again.

Love the pano idea but to polish this up even further, I'd clone out the three little white spots just below the daisy head and I would give that one diagonal stem a bit more darkness and blur to keep it from stealing the show. It's totally pulling my eye away from the white petals and into the BG.

Thanks again for the suggestions. Now that Jules has pointed out the diagonal center stem, I can't see anything else. I'll work on that next. The little dots below the flower are actually seeds hanging there. I agree if you can't tell what they are, they are nothing but a distraction.
All your comments are much appreciated and most helpful.
