There have been so many opportunities to photograph the snail kites and we really have been priveleged for the chance to see them doing what comes naturally. this is an image of the female snail kite who seems to be a little more leary of people than the male. She is really very beautiful if you can catch her in full light to show off her beautiful feathers.

I just love these birds, they do are beautiful! I like the pose and the details Judy, although the light looks a bit harsh and the bird a little "noisy". Still, very Nice shot!! Hope you're better!

Judy, I wish for a bit better head angle and a brighter far wing...but this is still a fine image! I like the sky's pale colour and love the tail on these birds :-)

I like the tail and the tip of the wing feathers. You captured them with a fine outstretched composition. It does appear a bit bright but a keeper none the less. It is one more than I have.

Great wing position Judy! It looks like the bird was a little underexposed and got noisy when you tried to recover the dark areas. The noise may have been exagerated some during sharpening.

Great pose and eye contact. I would love to see more details in the underwings but that might bring out more noise.
