    Hi Folks:

This young immature bird visited our garden this morning and played with a sibling I couldn't capture.

    All C & C's welcome & appreciated.

    Very well done uncle Gus,
I'm very partial to these little guys. You have good sharp details and the partial blured wings make it for me...

This is one is so nice and sharp with good detail (love those tiny feet)! I'm wondering what the HAP will say; it looks just slightly turned away. Good one, Uncle Gus!

Yeah, you may get some flak on the head angle :) Nice and sharp as stated. Fill flash looks good, too. I wish the bird were a bit at your eye level though.

Nice sharp image, like the wing position. I agree with Desmond, would like it at viewer's eye level, not above.

I guess I get to be the first to hand you your ticket for a bad head angle. It's not horrible but it's not making eye contact so...

I like the sharpness of the image and even like the wing blur. It looks like you caught some pretty harsh light, though, so I would look at trying to bring up the dark and mid-tones on the front chest area to even it out with the rest of the bird. I also wouldn't mind seeing it a little lower in the frame towards the bottom left corner (LC) so that it has plenty of room to fly into the upper RC.

    Hi Julie:

You're the first to agree with my thoughts, lower the bird: HA on a flying hummingbird, forget it, I'm happy just to catch it. harsh light, yep, used -1.3 ev to compensate. You hit the nail on the head. Thanks for your C&C's. . . . Uncle Gus
