Wished for a slightly better head angle - but couldn't get it - due to what I wanted the BG to be and were the sun was. Could also probably tone down the brighter parts of the breast.

Could crop more from top ??

Mr H - yes I played with the eye a bit but couldn't make any real improvements - the side light was a challenge - but not much else on offer so went with what I had, which is also why I couldn't get a better HA as turned anymore towards the camera resulted in shadows etc.

    Hi Lance,
I like your composition and close up pose. You have good details. In my opinion, the eye is fine. I like it as is...congrats...

Lance, I love the detail in the beak and white feathers on the head and the head angle is ever so close. Nice contrast with the blue sky.

The head angle is dangerously close to being wrong but I can live with it because, if you look closely, the tip of his beak still appears to be towards you and not away from you. It's not perfect - but, wow, have I seen worse!

I like Harold's eye adjustment and it looks like he toned down those hot breast feathers just a bit. The rest of your image is very nice - superb detail and colors!
