    Default Loon's chick feeding

Few days ago, I had the chance to follow a Loon's family on a lake noth of Montreal. This image was taken from a ponton which gave me a stable platform to use a tripod. Here is one of the multiple images taken during that session. The male had just given a small fish to the juvenile.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I wish said male's head was at a better angle and its face is almost completely shadowed. Still a nice moment you got here - a beautiful family gathering. The choice of crop works well :-)

Great angle and composition. It would be nice to see the parent's eye a bit better but I don't mind the head being turned away since it is part of the interaction. I might remove the shadow of the bill on the chest. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming!

I am with Daniel on the head angle. Too bad that he did not turn to his right after the feeding. Way cool on the fish in the chick's mouth and a good EXP. A bit more off the bottom perhaps?

Thanks for your comments. As suggested by Art, I will try to crop a little bit at the bottom to see if it improves composition. As for the male's head angle, eventhough I took a lot of images, unfortunately, except for the one below which is not as sharp as I wanted, I was not able to get a good head angle for both parents after the exchanges of fishes.

Great family moment and I love that the chick still has some of the fish in it's beak. They are so cute and I appreciate you sharing this wonderful image with us Pierre.

Fantastic image. Love the color and the composition. I do not mind about the male´s head angle in this case because he is driving its attention to the chick and that looks very natural IMO
