From a quick trip to a local beach last evening on the Long Island Sound. The light was too sweet to stay in, so I grabbed minimal gear and got exactly what I had hoped for.

Thanks for looking and for your comments.

Great light, details and setting. I like the included vegetation. Is this at Nickerson?

Thanks, Axel. this was at West Meadow, a town beach, near Stony Brook.

A bit too much space above for my liking, but I LOVE everything else here :-)

This is a lovely environmental portrait made in lovely light. You did a great job of finding the perfect slot to the bird.

    Just a wonderful Moment...

Love the habitat, like the area around it, provides information for its "dwelling" and frames it beautifully.

Grace, open up a gallery somewhere! you seem to have a knack for Nickerson Beach. I think you, Ted, Fred and Joe need a permanent home there. LOL. The light, color and framing rocks. I find the light shadow lines intriguing, the one just in front of the bird especially.
