    Default Fun with Chicks...

Well if you couldn't tell Nickerson is out current "hotspot" on LI.. This from last evening with Grace by the shore.. Terry was up with the skimmer colony on birthing watch.

The light was very sweet as the OCs brought the chicks to the water. The Juvies are starting to disobey the adult a bit as they approached me the guardian sounded the alarm but the chick checked me out anyway.

Here is one in the the receding surf.

    Thanks for looking
    Lou

Great light, details and action. I would go for a wider crop and make it a bit brighter overall.

Just excellent light here, it shows you were staying out till very very little end of the light.

Just love the water and vert. comp.

Well done and I love the receding wave. And yes to brighter. Had you been able to move a bit to your left, you would have been better able to parallel the subject. As is, you are shooting a bit from behind...

I like this capture, but wonder if it might be strong as a horizontal. Do you have any with horiz orientation?
