Moment of Impact, Nickerson Beach Long Island

Was wondering if this one is worthwhile? Both birds not facing the camera but pretty cool action, moment of impact....ouch.

Heading back in the morning, a day off...ahhhh! :D

The interaction is great. If the head of the tern in flight were more visible it would be even better.

George, That fram is what makes us go back to get it perfect. You got it right the actors screwed up and were off their spots! Bob

If the top bird was facing you - that would have been cool. Otherwise, I would chalk it up as a miss.

I like it... It's telling a story. Perhaps not a pleasant one for the guy that did the face plant, but story none the less.

Awesome action. What were they doing? I hope the bottom specimen is fine. Looks like a neckbreaker though.

I'm in the "keeper" column on this one. It's very unusual, and I think it would actually have some small sales potential. There's always a "joke" card company looking for images like this.

I think the fantastic action trumps the "head-angle thing," in this instance. I would suggest cloning the stems entering the frame on the left.

Ingereting and I would keep it too (despite the poor light angle). It is at least good for a chuckle. Was not the bottom bird facing you at the moment of attack???
