    Default Loon Family Portrait #2

    Attached Images Attached Images

This image was taken in early evening, a few seconds before the one I posted yesterday, as my kayak glided slowly toward the loons. I used foot pedals to steer with the rudder, thus leaving both hands free for the camera. The chicks are 4 days old. 20D, 300 f/4, 1/1000, f/5.6, ISO 200. The right side is the frame edge. Comments are welcome.

    HI Steve,

What a lovely looking light, BG and low angle. The family portrait is simply amazing as everyone in the family is aware of your presence. Very nice work!

Excellent light, angle, details and exposure control and of course the two chicks make it even better. Maybe a tad more room on the right. Thanks for sharing!
