I am not sure how to handle this photo. this is the only kind of bird we really see in flocks and I am not sure what it is. I have one with just blurred birds but I kind of like to see the bird a bit more defined. All suggestions appreciated. Ps. bird in lower left is not clipped in original, this happened when trying to get it to size (I am not good at that either).
Very nice movement patten in a horizontal panorama. Repeating patterns always look nice.
One of Artie's tips is to watch the edges, and try not to clip off any birds ... and it is good that you recognize that! I'm not sure how you resized this, but using the crop box first usually gives you a good visual on where everything is. Once you do that, then you can do your final resize for web presentation (which should keep everything that you had cropped). Hope that helps. If you can post the original, I'm sure everyone can help you through the process.
Hi - I believe brian is correct - none of the birds should be cut in half (often easier said than done). Have a look at Arties web site - He has some unbelievable BLURS.
Also I think I would clone/crop out the dark reflection area - bottom - centre - find it a little distracting.
Post your tech details along with the shot - helps everyone see what you are doing.
Hi Carole,
I agree with Lance and Brian - you shouldn't lose any of the image when you resize. How are you doing this??
I, too, would try to smooth out the background in places. It is a lovely image - worth spending some time on.
