Default Oyster Catcher - Running With Food

Really had an incredible Friday at Nickerson Beach Long Island.

    Canon 40D, 300/2.8 w/2x (600mm) F/8, 1/800th.
    Wimberly mounted, Gitzo1325 flat out.
    Belly Deep In The Sand...
(One day I hope to not have to dig a hole for my stomach to sit in when I lay down on the beach to shoot like this)

Still going through images from the weekend, it was excellent to go out and get there three mornings in a row.

Oyster Catchers were running food up to the youngin's up higher on the beach.
This is where we have sit and wait for them to run right past us and you get incredible moments to capture.

    C&C please.

hi dustin, beautiful bird!! looks too centered to me though. would have loved to have seen it furthur left in the frame with more room to run into. also, the bird is almost by you. a frame or two before would have been perfect!!

Although I don't find it too centered I do agree that more room in front would be nice to have to put that cool running motion some space to run into. I like the low angle. I don't really care for the bright surf line running just above the head.

some good points given, but also looks like it could use a slight rotation if I am seeing the dof line correct.

I am missing the rotation... I will have to play around.
