Hi Richard, the colours are really beautiful here but the lighting is very harsh. Also, I might be tempted to crop a little from the right side of the picture and make the flower the centre of attention.

I like your composition, the placement of your flower in frame is good, I like the texture and lilly pod patterns in the background. However the harsh lighting did not do it justice. For the next on, try tracking the angle of the sun light. I like photographing these ladies early morning or late afternoon...:D
Considering that I almost always hate flowers in bright sun I like this quite a bit. It almost looks surreal. Bad idea to crop from the right as that would cut the shadow that is an important part of the COMP.
