Hi James,
I like the pose and composition. You have good details but the reds on your bird look a little flat or washed out. I also see noise in the background. There is something funny going on along the bird's bill running all the way up to his crest; it looks like a cloning artifact from post processing...:cool:

Hi James - Would have liked to see a better head angle - Ditto seems to be some post processing artefacts around the bill area.

quite a slow shutter speed, I would have opened the aperture all the way up or increased the ISO in a attempt to get a faster shutter speed, I think with a 600mm - you have to have very very good long lens technique to get sharp shots 1/80 TH.

Hi James, I agree with Lance and Gus - can definitely see something around the bill/crest area. For me the head angle is OK - I think the pose is sweet.

Hi James, I agree as above. I like the pose and the head angle is also fine for me. I like the colors...subtle, which is not often the case with this bird. I do think the image is soft throughout and that is unfortunate because it would have been very nice as a share image.
