Hi everybody! Today I'd like to show this Pelican shot, it is not the best it could've been, but the light was awefull and the condidtions not at all the best, the day was cloudy but it was still a harsh light, I'll try to go back and get it right better light, better sharpness, etc. Although I like the pose and the fact that it is a FULL FRAME. Enjoy!!!

Great banking pose and BG. The bird looks a bit dark, did you dial in positive EC? I agree that ISO 400 might have been the way to go. Pretty impressive for full frame nonetheless.

Always nice to get a full frame flight shot! Good wing position and eye contact. I was photographing swallows (hand held flight also) yesterday under similar sky conditions. I had to use +2 to +3 EC to get a reasonable exposure. Thanks for posting!

Hi Axel, my exposure was neutral, neither + or - if I woul've gone with a +1 or so, the sky would've been lost for good as I already darken it a bit, still, I'll go again to Key Biscayne's beach tomorrow and try again with a better light :)
Thnaks for your comment! I apreaciate it!

Awesome flight pose Ramon and excellent detail and eye contact. As you mentioned it was a lttle dark but still a great capture with perfect timing. Will look for your future posts in better lighting.

Nice shots, yes the bird is a little dark but great framing.
The picture have some dust spots that will be easy to remove.

    Saludos,
    Raul

    Hi Ramon,

I have to agree with Axel on this one but I can't wait to see your next post. The composition works very well and the full frame is a nice plus.

Excellent compo and sky. You can just selec the bird and run a slight shadow/highlght adjustment on the bird itself. Great going!

I could try that fabs, but still in the hi_res file the sharpness is not as good as I'd like it to be, so I'd rather go back and try to get it right, or at least, better hehee.. whatever I can :)

Thank you all for your c&c, as always I apreciate them very much!

Is this any better...? What do you guys think?

One more try, this time, better PP, less contrast, etc, please let me know your thoughts!
