Crested Serpent Eagle in a brach. Though I could shoot it at eyelevel, the lighting was not upto my liking as parts of the body was harshly lit. Full frame.

    Shot with Canon EOS 1D Mark II, 70-200 f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, at 400mm, f5.6, 1/200, ISO 400.

Like the head turn, the eye contact and the light doesn't seem that bad at all, the BG is a bit distracting but the bird still stands out very well. Congratulations!

The light and details look good to me, I only find the OOF leaf in front of the bird's wing a bit distracting.

The bird stands out very well in spite of the conditions you describe. What a neat bird!
