    It was a bit slow for migrating shorebirds this year over here, but a few Sanderlings kept me busy for a couple of days. This one foraging along a cleaner part of a local beach.

    Canon R6 + 500,mmf/4 II + 1.4YC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/3200s., f/5.6, ISO 3200, small crop to help the composition, handheld, cleaned up the eye.

    Nice viewing angle -- did you dig into the sand to get this?
    Like the raised foot and the nice exposure. The flat light helped. Always nice to get one with a clean bill; it's almost always sand encrusted.
