Hi Jon, unusual indeed. A bird I am not familiar with. I like the simplicity of the image, the flying pose with the wings down, the open mouth quite different, nice background. I like the image, thank you for sharing.

Hi Jon,
Yes, a very unusual shot of a difficult bird. I'm enjoying the detail of the back of the wing and I find the head angle and open beak truly wacky!
I can appreciate how challenging it can be to get such a good exposure, especially the eye on the dark brown head.

I like this Jon. The crop looks good as does the position of the bird. Great calling pose, and detail on the bird. Looks a wee bit under exposed here.
