Very well processed, as always; everything in the right amount.
Reds look red without over saturation. Blacks have a nice sheen. Whites are white yet detailed.
The shadows lend a 3D look. I like a look at those claws.
Nice warmth and variation in the BG.
It appears you had lovely light to make all this happen.
I have some reservations on the comp, but that comes down to personal preference.

Thanks Sid glad you liked it, the claw detail - I just added a little Clarity.
Hi Jon ... itīs been a while that I participated here on BPN and I am not really back onto track . But I wanted to get back somehow ...
Seen a lot of nice stuff posted recently , albeit I can only watch on old MBP from 2012.. so my thoughts about the techs might be not ideal . But I will start ... to comment now
Nice one Jon of this WP .
I do like overall presentation ... specially the colors and tones . Head turn is good . Good sharpness and details showing up .
Love the colorful BG .... perch maybe a bit clunky but that is really minor .
Not a fan of that boxy crop and it is too much above and not enough at the bottom for my taste .
Interesting things going on on the LHS.... you played funky games
to gain more space , if you do so ..... make it less visible Jon
Cheers Andreas
Andreas I am having troubles with website, thanks for your comments much appreciated. I do not know if this message will display.
Back on line properly now, thanks again Sid and Andreas, the background Andreas - yes I was careless - just a little Generative Expand and I forgot to check it.
Hi Jon, nice image. The woodpecker and perch look great. As Andreas mentioned, something a little funky on the left side. It appears like canvas was added in PS using Generative Expand. I tried that with the same results so I switched to Content Aware Fill. Nice image, thank you for sharing.

Hi Jon all looking good here. Great pose against the BG colours with a wee bit sky, looks real good. Nice detail on the bird. Perfect WP perch.
