    I took this over the weekend. Location: Sunnyvale Baylands. Here are the settings -

    Canon 40D + Sigma 50-500 F4-6.5 APO DG HSM on Mongoose 3.5
    ISO 400, 1/2000 sec, 500mm at f8, exp comp. -0.66.

    I like the incoming pose and would give it more room at the top. The egret looks a bit soft on my monitor.

    Thanks. Here is an updated version. I have sharpened and gave it a bit of room on the top.

    The repost is getting better, but I feel it needs yet more space above, and maybe a bit less below too. Shapness is better, and so is the noise. I see you also cleaned up a spot on the head :-)

    I agree with the above comments and also like your repost but as already mentioned more canvas on top would strengthen this image. I really like the front on view of the flight capture. Great timing.
