Hey Jonathan, all looks hunky dory... really a nice image. Love the bird, perch, and background. Thank you for sharing.

Gorgeous frame. Your setup looks very natural and well constructed. The bird perched high in the frame, with the perfect head turn works well. I admire how you get such beautiful details in your birds without anything every looking crunchy.
If anything, a little bit of variation in the BG wouldn't have hurt.

Thanks Sid - yes I do have some with a little texture and variation in colour - to follow.

Very nice pose on a very nice perch. Good POV. Looking good. I would have a look at reducing the green on the BG. The frame sort of looks too much green to my eyes.

I suspect the principal issue is that it is probably just a little bit over exposed, bringing the mid tones down a fraction would probably do the trick.

A solid bird image here. I love the perfect head angle, neat perch, and grasses. Was this individual lured with food?

There was food locally but not in this particular spot - he was heading for water.
