Dottie and I went to Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida this morning. The White Pelicans I hoped to find have not arrived yet but I did see this Wood Stork along with two juveniles. It was really nice to see the juveniles. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Hi Joe,
This certainly is a monstrously ugly looking bird! But I do like the way you have captured the gruesome details in that scaly head. The hard head contrasts magnificently with the jumble of soft white plumes.

Whoever designed this bird certainly has a strange sense of humour!

    Thanks for sharing,

    Gerald

Hi Gerald, thank you for viewing and commenting. I would guess that you have never seen this bird before. I smiled at your comments. Actually I am quite fond of these birds, not too long ago they were endangered from disappearing habitat. Now, they seem to have recovered. That is why seeing the two juveniles with this adult made me feel good. Thanks again for commenting...
