Another alternative, when the going gets tough... You can see the water gathering under the KF as a blob in the greenery.

Pretty cool Steve...I've just been processing a KF Blurred image A bit different from this one though. This works for me, it's jumping out the screen here at high speed. It would look real good printed large. Great diving pose and with the perch being in focus, it exaggerates the speed of the bird.

Hi Steve ... fun to see you getting busy albeit the conditions has been very tough for a normal shooting .
I do like th overall intense colors and the tones looking good , even the white ear patch does look good .
Pose is looking good and the image does show a good dynamic movement ... makes it different . Funny that even the perch does show a slight blur due to diving KF .
I think the HA is better than in the first OOTB image ... easy as it is completely different movement of the subject . But this all personal thinking
Wonder if you can bring out more of the rain streaks by lighten them ???

Keep the experiments coming ... always good to see something different for discussions and inspiration

Would this be what you call a marmite shot? Kudos for experimenting, but this one doesn't quite do it for me.
