These were just too cute - perhaps only a day or two old (some of its siblings still had their "egg tooth"). When this one wandered near a pink setting, caused by some sort of lichen growing along the water's edge, it was icing on the cuteness cake.

Canon R6 + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering. 1/1250s., f/5.6, ISO 3200, FF, eye work, and cleaned up some specks in the water.

Sweet shot Daniel, so engaging. Love how it is absorbed by the stick and pink plants and the OOF leaves on the left are a nice inclusion. Overall I would mark this one 100%.

Hi Dan, another excellent image well executed.

The low POV just makes it, and being at eye level with the subject, it just makes that connection with the viewer. DoF creates that lovely mush both in the FG & BKG. Colour pallet could not have been better.

I think few people could have resisted taking this image! As you indicated it all comes together in terms of colours cuteness and composition.

Hi Dan, very nice. I love the duckling, color palette and composition. I go back and forth regarding leaving or removing the dark stick. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Dan ... you managed an interesting image of this oh so common subject .
For sure cuteness factor does help ... low POV is nice and I do like the fact that you kept the " distraction " to the right of the subject .

Nice colors with good depth in them !!!
    A pleasure to look at

The pink is the bomb. And I do not even hate the single vertical stick. Or maybe I do???
