I like the colours, good details in the feathers, the eye is good and sharp. Interesting shot, one question is the stripe under the eye blue or white? Being a little picky but perhaps the blacks are a tad dense.

Great catch, nice pose. In that strong light it is difficult to get the exposure even across the bird.
The patches under and over the eye show as overexposed.
Jonathan, an interesting comment about the patch under the eye, it is unquestionably blue on my monitor.

Yes Jonathan ,blue above and below the eye. Pale blue it is described ;but I agree with Colin those blues might be slightly overexposed. Even though I have been Calibrating my monitor I have to slightly brighten my image when sending it to this site ,not sure why that is.

Very cool flights shot of the beautiful Bee Eater ...
Nice pose and good framing .
For a " realistic " view of the colors the image should have a color profile embedded .... so I do skip comments about colors and tones .

But still like the frame and I would be pleased with it .

Killer pose and colors. The merge of the bill with the far wing was bad luck. Some bill cleanup would help. Send me the raw file via large file sender if you wish as I would like to take a crack at it. I will be offline from 29 AUG thru 12 SEPT -- in the Galapagos :-)
