    Salvaged this on a very gray day in Witless Bay!

    Canon 600mm f/4 IS II + 1.4x III on EOS R5
    1/3200 at f/5.6, ISO 2500
    Processed in LR CC. No cloning.

    Dorian:

    Nice full up pose, soft light shows subtle details in feathers, climbing flight path helps.

    I might be tempted to tinker with increasing the contrast just a bit, give it a bit more pop. Personal taste.

    I had tried a tweak of your original, and it ended up almost exactly like your redo. I do think it is a bit more dramatic, without looking over the top.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I applied the same settings to the downstroke in an adjacent frame and combined them to get this - my first composite. Sure, it's a lie, but it's fun to see the two strokes in the same frame.

    Awesome!! The repost looks great, and the composite is really well done and quite fun. I love the pop of colour form the faces and feet against the monochrome background.
