My BPN membership just renewed so what better time to make a new post?

This piping plover gave it his all and broke the worm free at the moment of exposure.

A heavy crop that I think holds up pretty well. Note the blood on the bird's breast from previous meals.

David really nice image. Love the stretch and you handled post quite well especially the whites. Nice low angle that's always a positive. TFS

Hi David ... lovely action shot , well timed .
One can see the effort that the bird puts into his potential work to get food .
Nice low POV and very cool to have the eye such detailed .

    Very good image ... overall

    TFS Andreas

Might be a bloodworm! Super sharp and the eye is mega. Did you go any Eye Doctor work on it? I am fine with the shallow d-o-f.

with love, and see you in the Galapagos soon!

ps: If you have it, some more room in front of the worm would not have hurt. Also, you could -- if you wish, BLUE-up the upper portion of the frame with Color Mixer.

David, this could be something out of a Disney short film. Such a great story told; a sort of sequel to the last one.

Even though it's a large crop, it's hard to notice. Colors and tones look nice and glad we get to see that left foot close to fully in focus.

Was a fun time for you I'm sure!

Here is a follow-up with your suggestions as well as a tad of cleanup.
