Another frame from my trip to the Isle of Lunga on Scotland's West coast. I would have liked a wee bit more room all around but this is almost full frame and cropped for comp...The previous 6 frames had more room but not as good flight pose. The BG is the sea in the far distance. HH.. ACR and PS.

    Hi Will a perfect " puffin " .... landing shot !!!

Well timed and executed shot , tough lighting well handled .... very nice shot all around

Ditto all the positives above. The only thing that bugs me is the shadow of the head and neck on the breast.

Will, pretty awesome that you could get this shot almost FF. Wow!

The pose is very cool but I also really love the thin stretch of in focus on the patch of grass and the feather. Really great elements IMO.

Great eye contact and rich tones. This might be one I look to add a little on the right in PS - I bet it does a bang up job.

Only minor nit (hesitant to mention) is just a slight bit of halo around the top wing tips. It almost looks like a masking effect with jagged edges, although very subtle.

A treat to view, thank you!

Fantastic landing pose! I'm glad you left the feather in there too. I can see what artie means in regards to the shadows, but such an appealing image nonetheless.

Hi Will I like the fact you were low down, looking up.

The previous 6 frames had more room but not as good flight pose.
Providing you acknowledge the fact when posting, do a 'cut & butt'.
