I went to Corkscrew in hopes to see/ photograph the ghost orchid... barely saw them, the rain was insane. When I was walking out my wife saw this unhappy RSH, I did not resist the temptation to get a couple of shots.
I realize is tight on the frame but I was not able to remove the converter under the rain.

    As always C/C are welcome.

Very nice image! Love the rain and the water on the beak. Would like a little more room on the top and some more detail in the eye.

I love the sharpness, the rain saturated colors, and that drop of water hanging from his beak. Adding a bit of canvas would give him the room he needs.

Love how one can see the rain drops and the look on his face goes perfectly with the whole scene! Congratulations!

Really nice Raul! Love the mood. Here's a repost with some added canvas, a removed branch, and some eye work. I know it's a bit of a rush job, but how do you like it?

Hey Raul this is a really nice image. The raindrops and the wet feathers adds a lot to the mood of the scene. The water droplet at the point of the bill is a big bonus. The composition is very tight in my opinion.

He doesn't look too happy. :) The drop on the beak adds to it. I like Doug's crop suggestion and wish for a bit more eye contact.

    Thanks all for comments.

    Doug,
I definitely prefer the composition on your repost, I'll try to rework the original to something similar, the sad part is the only thing I had to do to accomplish a better composition and gain more light was to remove the TC, but with the rain I did not want to risk my gear.
I need to stop working on my laptop... I now see the original was too dark.

    Thanks, Raul

Love this image Raul and the drenched look is priceless. The drop of water dripping from the beak puts it over the top for me. Excellent detail and color. Doug's repost is great. Congratulations and especially for your perseverance in the rain < smile >

Raul, looks good on my monitor, I can even see the rain streaking down the image now. That poor bird, love the wet feathers and of course the drop on his beak! You did great to get this shot in pouring rain, good job!!

Raul this is a serious improvement over the original. I like this version a lot :)
