Possibly the most powerful jaws in the Animal kingdom, apart from Painted wild dog.

Super colours and details, the teeth appear to be well worn. A fine shot.
Powerful jaws - I suspect crocodile/alligator would take some beating.

    Cheers Jon.

Hyena's bite pressure is greater, I was somewhat surprise to learn the WD also is up there too.

    Hi Steve ...
A nice demo of the jaw , teeth looking already worn out ...
Comp works well , wish the eye was visible ... the bit of saliva is adding a ton of interest .
Surprised that you left the tail tip in .
Stunning detail and sharpness .... as expected .

For me the image does carry " too much red/magenta " ... personal taste .

    Nice one and TFS Andreas

Thanks Andreas, tail tip so minimal that it isn’t distracting and doesn’t warrant removal IMHO. Easy enough to do, but where do you draw the line…?? Colours look faithful to me.

If you like it in terms of color ... then fine .
I mentioned the tail as you are generally clean up more than I do ... nothing important .

Here is my vision on color ... albeit subtle

Maybe ... because many times you are suggesting to remove stuff ( clean up distractions ) i.e. to my images , that I would not do . Like the grass blades with the Hamster and the Squirrel ... which do not bother me

Probably because I look at it with my old ‘Art directors’ hat on and what I would/wouldn’t choose to use, and or sells, but now we are going slightly off topic. Just personal tastes.

Took me a while to see the tip of the tail

Powerful image, Steve. Nice framing, it's all about the bite and those menacing teeth. Great detail and sharpness and IQ looks great. Colours look good to me.

I have started to process some frames from the Kruger trip, hope to share at the week-end. Sorry I am taking so long, so much happening on my side, work wise and otherwise

Have a wonderful rest of the week, will be in touch soon

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Love the details here, especially the teeth and strand of saliva, Steve.
Not always the most photogenic subjects but I do enjoy watching their antics, behaviour and social integration in the clan.
