Hi all .. a Hamster sticking it's head out of the tunnel entrance , after he has disappeared into his tunnel because I tried to approach him .
So I stopped and waited that he will possible surface again after a short while .... this is not always the case , as the tunnel system made by the hamsters is endless and has lots of entrances ands exits .

This chap is very cute, Andreas. Nice SS... was his nose twitching a lot? These hamsters are a lot like the Kalahari Brant's Whistling Rats! Lots of burrows and they pop up here and there, not easy to photograph but great fun.
Well framed and processed and colours look very nice, good detail too. I like the tiny paw sticking out. Cool portrait, I enjoyed viewing

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Super shot your patience was well rewarded, you must have been pretty close, focus and DOF are food colours and details equally so.

Think I prefer the previous one with more habitat, it's a bit too big in frame for me, but lovely details.
