Shot in local slough in Nd. Shot from my floating blind .Best thing about this photo it is practically in my backyard ten minutes from the house. I usually drive an hour past hundreds of sloughs. On top of that I can get up at 4.30 instead of 3.30. Processed with Dpp 4,Topaz,Photoshop Comments and Critiques appreciated.

    Hi Kevin,

beautiful colors. Vital eye detail in 2.8. Wings tire the eyes. Could f5.6 be more effective? It's a fun and quality work to watch.
    Congratulations.

Beauty light! Excellent rich and warm tones thought. Just enough head turn to make it work, and is sharp where it needs to be. But do wish the body was more parallel. Perhaps some CCW rotation needed as well. I love the erect head and forehead feathers!

Lovely tones and colours details in the head are excellent. I wish the wing was a little more in focus. Overall presentation - very eye catching.
