This gentleman is a resident at Flamingo Gardens is Davie, Fl. Most of the birds there are birds that have been injured and are kept in captivity. I believe that this eagle can not fly as he has enough room to, but decides to hop around in his enclosure.

Well done Oscar, this is a tough one. Very difficult contrast but you kept it under control, a lot of detail on the feathers. like also the head angle.

    Very nice composition Oscar,
A very sad story, I hope this little guy get better and is able to fly...The image seems to be a tad on the dark side; perhaps at a 0EV it would have been fine. Try to lighten it up just a notch Oscar...:D

Hi Oscar - I quite like this shot as it is.

Does look a little dark on my monitor... It may well be thats how you intended it to be.

I made a couple of quick tweaks - maybe better - maybe not.

    :)

Very nice shot Oscar and this one is very sharp. Also a touch dark but that is easy to fix.

Oscar, a sad story and which seems to be mirrored on your eagle's face. I like the enhancement Lance made to the eyes and the brighter light on the left side.

Hi Oscar, I,too, like Lance's repost. Beautiful bird and very soulful pose - here's another vote for 'get well soon' to the very fine Mr Eagle...

nice pose and the bird you captured here!!! agree with gus that 0EV would have given you a little better exposure, but you would have still needed to work on the bird in PS. a flash would have definitely worked for you in this situation. would have evened out the shadows a bit. lance's repost is really good!! love those eyes!! congrats on the capture!!
