    Default Foster's Tern

Just back from Ohio, and I have an entire month at home in California! It gets crazy starting mid-June, so I'm gonna enjoy the downtime for now.

My final FOTE from Hilton Head, South Carolina when I was there in February.

Super capture details and exposure look good. I am wondering if the image is carrying a little too much blue?
Purely personal but the portrait crop isn't ringing my bell.

Hi Dorian, I agree with Jonathan, super capture. I think you went with a portrait crop because of the raised wings, I too would like to see a landscape. Other than that all looks spot on, thank you for sharing.

Great wings up pose and love the falling water droplets! I too wish to see a landscape view...feels a little tight in the frame

Very nice...Lovely flight pose and detail on the bird....I like the crop as presented...surely going landscape would leave too much empty space.....If the bird was looking directly to our right, a landscape may work....but, with the HA as is, works for me.

Good with this on many accounts, Dorian.

White sea birds on blue/gray always seems to be pleasing to the eye.

Nice flight angle in toward you and enjoyed the splash surrounding. Enjoy the composition too!

I rather like it as is, but can see why there are pleas for alternate comps. I love the orange bill and legs contrasting nicely with the blue water. Have fun with your month "off", but I am sure you will have tons of other fun adventures to share after that!

I love it and am 100% fine with the boxy crop. I particularly like the absence of shadows on the near wing.
