    Not my first choice as a "macro" type lens but not too bad a result. I am however thinking this will be handy for dragonflies.

    Well, you use what you have at the moment to capture the image, and I think this worked great! The butterfly shows excellent detail, and you managed to keep it all in the focal plane. Well exposed, soft background. I think this one presents lots of options re: the crop. I would try a version with some off the sides, esp. the right.
    Also a true vertical crop might work because of the diagonal line of the perch.

    I like it a lot!
