Hi folks ... need a bit higher Iso , no problem
Other bird , same area ... deep in the bushes .
Still able to get a " decent " output . The OOF stuff could be removed ... but I left it in to have a bit more content in the BG

And hope that the head angle is good enough this time ... for the peanut gallery

    Canon EOS R 3
    RF 100 - 500 IS L + 2x TC

    Almost full frame

    F 14 ; Iso 40.000 ; 1/2500 sec

Processed with Capture One and PSCC 2023

Very nice Andreas. Processing looks good to me! Lovely detail on the bird and perch, with a nice contrasting BG. I'm fine with the oof area at the top, but I would be tempted to remove the bit on the right on the perch...it is drawing my eye somewhat.

Super shot, the upper twig looks good to me forming a pseudo-frame. Details and processing spot on.

Yes, the head angle here is perfect. What can I say? The other one sucked. IQ at ISO 40,000 is beyond amazing. I like the soft light and the singing pose. I could go for a bit less room below and a bit more above the bird.

Volkan just photograph yourself with these high iso settings ... if I do show mine is pretty useless IMHO . They do not look like Iso 1000 shots ....

I suppose f/14 is one downside of the 100-500 + teleconverter, but the final output is what counts, and the IQ looks very good here. Yes, good head angle, and the typically wren-like perked up tail is cute. As personal taste, I'd love the wren to be a bit lower in the frame, but works as is too.

****, that R3 is a high ISO monster! You've managed some great IQ! I wouldn't even try with f/14, but it seems to have worked out here. Bird looks great. OOF branch above is a big issue for me though.
I guess you could clone it, but that seems heavy handed to me. But is great to see what the 100-500 and 2x can do in the right hands.

Thanks Dan and Dorian for your comments they are much appreciated

Yes I could have framed it differently in post ... but not in the field , more obscuring elements would have been in the frame .

    Cheers Andreas
