    Hi folks ...
went again out to test and push limits , well because the light was not as good as yesterday with the Chiffchaff .
But judge yourself how the " crazy " combo does perform ...

    Canon EOS R3
    RF 100 - 500 IS L + RF 2 x TC
    HH

    F 14 ; Iso 25.600 ; 1/2000 sec

Processed with Capture One and PSCC 2023 ; added canvas and recropped the image as the bird was too central ion the original capture

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous postings

    Cheers Andreas

Looks good to me Andreas, I am surprised though at f14 the tail wasn't in focus.
Love the singing pose and his little tongue. Good shot - good details in/around the eye.

Hard to believe the ISO; IQ looks just fine. If only the bird's head were not turned away.

Why hard to believe the Iso Artie .... ?
One just needs to know how to deal with it and go for SURE not any TOPAZ route in the processing . This is for sure my opinion .... but I do proof with my high Iso shots that one can get stunning results , even with a slow lens plus a 2x converter . As long as the shutter speed is adequate and the exposure is good .

I am more than ok with the head angle ...

    Cheers Andreas

I am not surprised that the tail isn't in focus .... just look yourself how much of DOF I do have when using the following techs : Full frame sensor / 1000 mm focal length / f 14 / focus distance 3 - 3,5 meters ..... .... just tell you not much of DOF available .

    Cheers Andreas

Andreas, I thought you would have been perhaps 5m away because you were not in a hide, certainly at 3-3.5 the magnification at that distance would obviously not offer much DOF on a full frame.

Another nice calling pose. Also wish the HA was a tad more toward you but these little guys are pretty fast and head turns are fast with them. Nice results with those techs Andreas!
