Same location as my previous post. This time there were 2 Grebes enjoying the afternoon light. I was after a "down the barrel" shot. Processed in PR3, ACR and PS. No added sharpening this time and I decided not to remove the white spots in then BG.

This is awesome. The head-on stare and the full reflection in this one are so much better than the previous. While I like the white dots on the water, I would try to clone the larger slash cutting into the left-hand side of the reflection. Maybe the brigest one at the right hand side of the frame as well. Otherwise really sweet.

Hi Paul ... nice head on view of this lovely Grebe .
Color , comp , details are looking nice .... the subject looks a bit " flat " . With some channel blending you could get more tonal depth into the plumage , to make the Grebe more 3D . Just my take ...
I do not mind the water and the debris ...

Nice one , way better than previous ... specially on the color front

Love the head on look you managed here Paul! The sharpness looks much more natural on this one. While I wish the water was cleaner, I would have left the spots also. Too many of them to remove all then a few would not look right.

Such a fun image - the disheveled look of the grebe certainly adds to the quirkiness! Yes, the larger white spot on the reflected face has already been mention so I will not again (oops), but overall this one is a smile maker for sure!
