Curious what brought this bird into the set-up?!?! Very exciting regardless!
This is really sweet, Will. Exposure and detail are excellent, the perch is both proportional an interesting, and the BG is perfect. The view of the talons peeking out is awesome.
I think you did the right thing with the crop; absent a direct stare, a vertical doesn't make sense, even if it means the bird is a bit tight at the top and bottom. Super work.
Hi Will ... is this new or from the series you posted a similar image before ??
Very nice overall and i do like the slightly mottled BG , not like a overly smooth studio backdrop .
The subject does look great on all counts !!!
The BG does show some artifacts , maybe banding or noise .. not sure .. would address that .
Such a welcome surprise you got here! I kinda wish you did not have the teleconverter on, but since this was unexpected then I can understand not wanting to fiddle with that and risk spooking the bird. Pretty nice overall Will, really digging the perch and BG, and the wet look on the owl adds neat interest.
Thanks fro the comments....Dorian the set up was baited for a Sparrowhawk, which is a regular visitor, this must have attracted the Owl...I was surprised as they usually hunt during the hours of darkness....Andreas...yes same bird I posted before....different pose and perch.
