Yes Artie the 400 2.8 is perfect on the lek. Allows you to shoot earlier and focal distance is great and if you need some more go to the converter. I use to have a 300 2.8 and it was just a little short.

Hi Kevin....Another fine image of these lovely birds....Good detail on the birds in a nice surrounding....The HA isn't too bad, and yes it would be a keeper for me as well...I would have a look at sharpening the lower bird a wee bit, especially the head area..... I hear you regarding the closed eyes etc....I have been there often, taking lots of shots...It's what you have to do, to get 'the shot' and you got it here.....Good work.

Dude - look at you with the R3 and the RF 4-hundo! Doesn't get much better.
Great action and interaction. I really like the wing resting on the snow; it makes for a very unique pose. Yeah, more head turn would be ideal, but you gotta give something
to get something. It's really, really hard to get two birds perfect, right?. You did an excellent job on the exposure. The snow looks great.
I've been in Omaha since Sunday but haven't ventured too far from town this week. Been doing a lot of birding as I've not birded in either NE or IA before this week.
We're here until Sunday, when we need to make tracks to Denver. I wish I had more time for shooting, but that's life!

Hi Kevin ... stunning action , love it !!!
Personally i would not complain about anything , would love to have it in my collection .
Very well done in capture and processing ...
If this would be mine , i would tame the darks ... as they do appear a bit too dense , personal taste .
Very nice and TFS Andreas

Really great action Kevin! I would totally make this a keeper as well. I like the processing on this from my perspective. My only thing is it looks like it could use a small CW rotation. Maybe its just because of the snow lines.

Super shot, I don't think anyone will agree but iIfind pulling the lights 5-6 down and the Darks 5-6 up it improves presentation.
