Nice capture of the bird flying in. Love the position of the legs. Bird is nice and sharp well processed. Dark strips in the water is a little distracting and wish the background was a little cleaner, nothing you could have controlled. TFS

Hi Jon ... nice one as previous of that series .
Nice fine details rendered ... and the pose is cool . Color and tones looking good .
Two things bothering me .... FG does look fake , you know what you have done and should declare it in your intro
. And it does look not good at all !!!
The other minor thing is the crop ... I would like to see more FG and less at the top , matter of taste .
TFS Andreas

There was a recrop and a tiny bit of canvas added to LHS is that what you refer to? I am not aware of actually doing anything to the base?

I have had another look, th recrop did add a couple millimeteres maybe why that it looks fuzzy/soft. I have other shots of oystercatchers in similar positions at high tide and the irony is that I didn't post any of those because I thought someone would think I had been messing around! Lesson learned - don't assume!

The sharpness and the pose and the exposure are great. The background for me is horrific. In a perfect world, there would be more separation between the bill and the far wing. Good job bay Andreas spotting the repetitive patterns. Content-Aware Fill can do that.

I agree that the bottom of the frame looks weird for one reason or another. The bird, however, is great. Loads of detail on the body and legs.
With the bird looking down, it needs more room and much less above. Line in BG are a bummer.

I agree with others on this one. Wish you had more room below, bird looks great but the BG is unfortunate. Still nice technical work on the bird Jon!
