Hi folks ... an image back from 2019 taken in Etosha NP close to Okaukuejo Camp
These 4 cubs are members of a larger pride that was roaming that area while I was staying in that area ...

Taken in last light , before I had to go back to camp

    Canon EOS 1Dx II
EF 200 - 400 IS L at 560 mm , with hindsight I should have chosen the 400 mm range as it is a bit tight on both sides
    Beanbag

    F 7,1 ; Iso 6400 ; 1/1600 sec

Processed with Capture One and PSCC 2023 ; cropped from top and bottom , little gardening in FG/BG

Thanks for watching and commenting to my last postings

    Cheers Andreas

An engaging image, I keep going back to the eyes of the central two cubs, I lke the warm afternoon colours of the cubs. I find the width acceptable not too tight for me.

It works for me too Andreas, not too tight. Light was awesome. Lovely pose, such an attractive image with lots to look at

Great colours and tones and I like the warmth, very sweet scene. Cannot help but think of the Kalahari...just cannot find the time to go camping there again...

Techs look good and some nice PP work, chaps are sharp with good detail. You must have such great memories from this trip, thank you for sharing with us!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Absolutely love the light and colour here, so typical of the first/last light in Etosha.
Great IQ and framing too, I guess an ideal pose would have been if the RHS cub looked "inward"...
