    Hi folks ...
    a frame from 2018 taken in the Kwai concession of Botswana
    Sat on the bank of the pool to take the lowest possible shooting angle

    EF 200 - 400 IS L at 560 mm

    Processed with Capture One and PSCC 2023 ; cropped for comp and leveled the image

    Hello Andreas,
    Quite a frame filler, your hippie... Love those nostrils above the water line and 'menacing' look, very impressive. I also like the positioning of the subject within the frame. POV is superb. Great detail as well as colours and textures, well done Boetie

    It's all about the composition and it works very well, very good focus from nostril to ears and the way you have handled the light on both sides of the hippo is excellent. Good shot - I like it.
