    Default Female Wood Duck Wing Flap.

    After having performed some mating rituals, and then a brief copulation session, this female capped off the antics with an obligatory wing flap.

    Canon R6 + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1250s., f/5.6, ISO 3200, handheld, about 80% FF, raw file was very washed out therefore more contrast and saturation than usual, a few snowflakes spot-removed out, eye clean-up.

    Lovely image though I might be tempted to give the duck a little more pop.

    Man, these gave you all that you could handle! Another excellent result from this tiny patch of water. Action, exposure, detail, and eye contact are all spot-on. I think she pops fine as presented. Good stuff.

    Love the low angle and wing flap pose is great! I agree it looks good as posted to me as well.
