    I reduced exposure here 1 stop to achive silloette. Hope you like it

    MKIII
    500f/4 + 1.4TC
    1/250 @ f/5.6 ISO 400

    Just one stop less and you got the silhouette? The light looks like it was from the top. What was your setup?

    Certainly interesting. I especially like the wing blur. I think you don't need that much room on the right because I think this shot is more about the "special effect" than where the bird looked.

    Desmond - this is a little embarassing, but I'm not sure how much the exp is reduced and the light is more from the top right. :o light was very bright and I think I had + 2/3 EV when I pressed shutter. I didn't like it very much as it was. I tried adjusting fill light. I cloned out the feeder in PS, and sized it for the web, but it was brighter than I expected back in LR. :confused: Didn't like much of anything I tried, so I tried backing the exp off in LR and kinda liked the silloette I finally came up with. Used a tripod
