Hawaiian Stilt (ae'o)

just returned from a Maui Whale, Turtle, and Stilt trip.
Excellent luck at all.
I got a lot of Stilt photos as they are my favorite (and endangered) Hawaiian land bird, they just represent Hawaii
in their look and habitat for me.
This was taken at Kanaha Pond, basically in the airport industrial area and the birds still make it look like "Hawaii".
Have nice flight shots from Kealia Pond near Kihei as it is a very nice natural area on the Ocean.
This is Full frame , not a pixel removed and hardly anything done to it as I thought was about as good as I could get
of a Young couple, Male and Female.

Hi Dan, the birds with the bubble gum colored legs, very similar to the Black-necked Stilts in Florida. I like the detail and color on the birds, also the environment. It is unfortunate that there was not more separation between the birds and the background. Thank you for sharing.

I like the presentation ....looks almost 3D on the iMac....Two good HA's and nice detail on the birds...Good POV........I would go for a less contrasty look
