Hi all. Here's another Black-fronted Dotterel from a previous shoot. This time it's facing left and the HA is a little better. Not so much contrast applied this time. Hope you like it. Cheers.

Hi Paul, I think I like this one even more. Same nice low angle, like you said a little better HA and still love that BG! Light looks real nice too!

Hi Paul .. can only echo Kurt here , nice one !!
Personal taste ... i think the contrast is too strong ( masking details in the dark tones ) and the colors are partially too " electric " , but hey you like it so

Paul there isn't much wrong with this I'd say!
Being hypercritical the darkest plumage is featureless bu the rest is rinky tinky

Agree with other comments; a very nice frame which could use a small reduction in blacks and/or contrast.

On a very minor (but very personal note), I never want the shadow in the front of the subject (i.e. in the bird's sightline) because it draws attention to it. But that's me. And I'm super anal
    about stuff like that.

Thanks Dorian. Interesting point regarding the shadow in front of the bird. I've never thought about it, but I see where you're coming from. Noted for future reference...cheers.
