This youngster had been in the air no more than two weeks and was finding its feet on the very white limestone cliffs so is looking a bit unsure. I have tried to dampen them downs they are not only white but a bit reflective in the late afternoon. This was taken after a day or so of rain which cleans up the air a bit in our summer.
This baby till has down on breast and legs which does not detract from the image I hope.

Hi Ian. I like the overall composition, bird's pose, HA and feather detail, but the blown highlights especially in the yellow feet and rocks do deter for me. I also think it looks a little over sharpened. Despite that I'd love to get a similar shot of this magnificent bird. I had to travel to Sydney some years ago as I was told of a location there where the Falcons fly around cliffs. Cheers.

Pose and plumage are fantastic, but I agree with Paul about the overexposed feet and the sharpening. Rock is also suffering and looks rather unnatural, unfortunately.
There's a lot of good stuff here, so I think it's wroth taking another crack at the processing to see what you can come up with.

I have to Agee with the previous posts about the feet but love the landing pose you managed!

Nice shot, I suspect a little overprocessed - is the Raw image blown? I feel saturation and contrast also a little high. The image is worth having another look at.

Thanks all I will do it again and agree that the legs could be better processed but they are not blown.Nor are the whites on my monitor which I have just had recalibrated since I processed this. The rocks and the billon ? year old calcium are a bit more of a problem .Will work on them over the week end. Thanks again as always.
