    Default American Oystercatcher

I belly-floated/crawled up on this bird a few minutes after capturing the pelicans in my last two posts.

I usually want more head turn and eye contact, but I like how the subject is surveying the bumps ahead of him.

Exposure / colours look spot on. Composition look fine.
I don't think the legs are over exposed but I think you could bring out the scale detail a little more.

I love that bumpy floor! I have no issues with the head angle, all looks good to me. The raised foot adds an important dynamic here IMO.

Hi Dorian ... love it , just because of the bumpy ground ... does look so unique to me .
All the rest looks very good and nicely processed... I would not complain about the HA .
Lover the low POV you are many times using .

It is funny and interesting that you easily manage the WB in shots like this ....

Thanks, Andreas. I'm really good when there's blue and/or sun. These are just eyeballed, without the eyedropper. It's the greens and/or clouds/shade that give me trouble!
